Latest HMI and Vision systems nowadays propose more than simple display or camera control. In and industry 4,0 context they are up to provide most advanced functions both in term of factory interface and control. They need to subscribe to the latest cybersecurity standards but also be optimized in the leveraging of embedded AI in order to optimize secured operations. This of course on top of usual industrial requirements. In this sessions we will take a look to the overall evolution of those segments and NXP answer for those. From the performance requirements through the Security aspect to ensure consistent cybersecurity policies with the factory floor and finally the use of AI to optimize the floor performances, we will review the Industry 4.0 requirement evolution and how NXP scales solution to addresses those.

Christian Castel is marketing manager and Industrial Automation Marketing lead for NXP’s Edge Processing Business Line. He cumulated over 17 years of experience in the industry over which he supported his key accounts in their adoption of new technologies for optimized industrial solutions . He graduated from the ESIEE group in Paris with a Bachelor of Science in Microelectronics and a Master in business management and IT networks.
