The global Industrial automation & control systems is a fast growing market segment due to the adoption of Industry 4.0. It is evolving rapidly with the introduction of sophisticated technologies, such as robotics, enabling efficient operation of manufacturing and material handling. These systems require high power brushless motor drives using Power MOSFETs, sometimes using several parts in parallel. Robotics can also use high-capacity Li battery systems that need to be safely isolated.
This presentation will focus on the Nexperia MOSFET portfolio targeting these demanding applications.

Senior Product Applications Engineer
Steven graduated with B.Eng(Hons) degree in Electronics in 1997 achieving C.Eng status with the IEE in 2003. His background in analog and power electronics started at Bently Nevada, where he helped develop portable battery powered condition monitoring and cabinet based measurement products. At Dedicated Micros he developed power conversion solutions for use in Cameras and Digital video recorders, with a range of topologies in power ranging from 12 W to 500 W. It was during this role he developed a bespoke power over Cat5 System for PTZ cameras that rivalled the latest POE+ solutions available now. Steven has worked at Nexperia (NXP) for 14 years in several technical based positions and is currently Senior PAE for the EMEA region.
